wtf throwin a code 43 (fuel supply system) help......
ok my driver side axel boot burst today and threw grease all over the back ov my motor. i replaced the axel and degreased the back side of the motor(using spray degreaser and then rinsed it off like the can says to) where all the grease flung. now everything with the axel works fine and now i get CEL code 43. (i think its the fuel supply system, correct me if im wrong) i checked to see if anything got pinched or cut or anything and i coundnt find anything. from the little bit of research i did it sounds like it could be the o2, could that be possable if i got it wet???? any ideas or other things that i might have missed or sugestions would be helpful thx!!!!!!!!

Funny enough I have the same cel. I saw grease on my driver's side wheel-which leads me to believe i have a torn cv boot too. I plan on replacing that, but I always thought the two problems are completely separate this is why.
I read things on how if you are running too rich, it will throw that code also. The code would come on for me, whenever I would drive my car at about 70mph for an extended period of time, or when it was raining and i was driving around 70mph.
What I did, was reset the code while i was driving by turning my car off, and turn it back on, and tuned down the fuel a little bit with the vafc at that RPM. The problem seemed to go away if I leaned it out, but I ended up leaving the fuel settings where they were, because I'd rather run a little rich than lean, and I'm gonna be running AEM EMS soon.
Hope that helps, but it COULD be your O2 as well. It's not necessarily your torn boot...

well i replaced my axel and threw it all back together and the axel and steering all work good its just the stupid cel. now i am n ot getting the cel 43 i am just geting the cel 1. i found a site that has step by step instructions and i am going to test all that **** later today. thx
I had that code after I completed my motor and swapped it in. I think my O2 sensor went bad from sitting out in the driveway for a year.
Usually it's the O2 sensor; if not, then try the fuel filter next.
