i think this type of problem is talked about every other post. its most likely your fast idle valve, inside your throttle body. just search a crap load of stuff comes up.someone posted step by step on how to fix it.SORRY TO WHOEVER I TOOK THIS FROM,I PUT IT IN MY NOTEPAD AND JUST COPIED AND PASTED IT IN HERE
"Yup, had the same problem not too long ago. You'll need to remove the FITV, 4 bolts if im not mistaken. Some coolant is going to **** out after you disconnect the hoses but just let it drip.
There are two different metal caps, both held by 2 screws on opposites ends of the FITV. Remove the larger housing one first (not the flat metal one) and hold a lighter underneath the wax carrier (little metal thing inside that housing) while looking into the hole on the FITV body where it connects to the TB. Ensure that the piston IS moving after heated up, it may take a few seconds of holding the lighter underneath it.
If it moves, you're in luck, you can fix it yourself (even though Honda specifies these are set from the factory and theres no "fix" for them), and if it doesnt move, you'll need a new FITV.
If the piston moves, then re-attach the metal housing with 2 screws and remove the flat metal cover from the opposite end. There will be a small white plastic screw-in holder that limits the piston travel (i.e. this determines how much extra air the FITV is allowed to inhale to increase idle speed at cold idle).
All you need to do is adjust this, in my case, the holder had come completely loose and was not limiting travel whatsoever. Just tighten the holder down until it is snug (I was able to do it with one screwdriver, you might have to use 2 though being that it has a hole in the middle and two notches on the sides to adjust it).
Re-intstall the FITV to the TB and you're set...I'd suggest starting the engine with an open TB (intake not connected) so that you can check that everything is working properly.
Sorry this turned into such a long post, just trying to be descriptive as I don't have any pictures to post. Good luck"

High idle is a symptom of a vacuum leak at the manifold. A quick way to check it is to get a can of gum cutter/carb cleaner and spray around the gaskets and seals until the idle tries to come down. It could also be an injector seal.
Did you clean the intake side of the head really good removing all traces of old gasket? If not do it!! If so, try your IACV. Located on the back of the manifold. Mine went bad a the car stayed at 2000 rpms all the time. Good Luck!!!

It does that exactly. Everytime I shift the idle keeps getting higher and higher, then I gotta blip the gas and it returns to where it was.

my **** did that and i hated it, it would also jump from 1000-3000 alot, back and forth...all the time i would have a friend drive with me they would be like.."you suck at driving manual" and it wasnt my fault,i had to catch the rpm at just the right point
anyway,i replaced the iacv, then that wasnt it so i replaced the fitv, and that was it

Well what you guys should know is that my car was running perfect with the Skunk manifold. I then took off the skunk, and installed the GSR mani, and I just have the idle problem. I don't think the sensors are messed up since they worked perfect before. The only thing that was changed was the gaskets. Car runs perfect after idle, and there's no CEL. I'm thinking there's a leak at the IM flange, or maybe at the TB. Injector seals could also be the culprit. I didn't replace those.
