I own a 2002 Type R, which in New Zealand is almost the same as the RSX in the US, with the addition of a few items.
What I am really keen to find are products from the 'reputable' brands for the DC5(r) engine, ie Spoon, Mugen, Toda (sp?) and so on.
I'm really interested in the stats like weight loss, hp gain, similar to what spoon do on their site, but alas, spoon havn't released any DC5 gear as far as I can tell.
So, what are the options and from where? I need links.
I thank you all in advance for your efforts, you are not my slaves, but I assume you could provide more input outside of my knowledge as
a) America's a bigger place than NZ hence more privateer suppliers (which I have assumed you know of)
b) I cannot find any mainstream DC5 parts lists...
Any confusion - I'm looking for RSX type S parts, with proven stats.
Thanks again.

Be patient, the car has only been out for 6 months. (Reputable) companies outside of those close to Honda (Mugen, Comptech) have not had very much time to perform r&d. I honestly would just wait.

Yep, I am waiting patiently, but I do see a few of the members here showing off their new exhausts and filters and so on. I would like to know of where lists of these mod's can be found, or weather they were just put on 'because thats what people do'.
try these sites:
http://www.optauto.com http://www.rollhard.com http://www.jdmhondaparts.com http://www.inlinefour.com http://www.importpartsdirect.com http://www.landspeedracing.com http://www.lightningmotorsports.com
put in a search for RSX, and you should be happy with what you find.

I'm not familiar with the Type R specs for NZ - do you have the Brembo brakes/Recaro seats? How about front brake ducts?
I'd be really interested in finding a set of front brake ducts off an R for my Type-S!
Thx!

Thanks for the info... A few more questions and I'll leave this one alone
Are the brake ducts available through Acura/Honda that you know of?
8500rpm redline with the same HP as the TypeS (which has an 8000 - really 7900 - redline)? Not 220hp?

RE: HP with 8500 rpm.
Sad isn't it - Its due to our inferior RON. Your 100 RON would be 103 in NZ, therefore your 93 RON is what we use as equivelent here as our top Spec gas, ie 96 RON.
The Japanese power figures are quoted on their GAS RON aswell - they use 100 RON there too. Our GAS RON indicators are the mirror of the Japanese, so our 96 RON = Japans 96 RON and so on.. there fore, our highest RON, 96, is equivelent to the Japanese 96 Ron aswell. Therefore *breathe* we loose 4 octanes' worth of power... , now before you say, well 4 octanes worth of RON != 20 hp! We have had our rev's knocked down as a result, because Type R engine do not like 96 RON at 8500rpm ++.
Sad huh?
Pretty mush the same engine (minus revs and silver rocker cover) but we get everything else... LSD and so on... We miss out on the brembos and 17" wheels aswell, but that won't slow me down
Secondly, the brake ducts I have never looked into. But YES, Honda NZ would do they. They would HAVE to do them. Imagine a crash or something, they would have to have spares for replacements, so yeah, they do do them.
I can find out a price for you - in NZ dollars - which, when translated into US dollars - is pretty cheep
Let me know...
