i just had my header and highflow cat (carsound) installed and sometimes when i give it gas theres some noise that sounds like a vibration of metal hittin somewhere, not exactly sure so im trying to figure out what it is...anyone know or have an idea of what it is and how to get rid of it? thanks

 

Exhaust heat shields or the bracket that mounts the header to the back of the block.

 

Good advice. I agree check the heatshields first!

 

Yeah, sounds like a heat shield. If your heat shields have been taken off since your the install i would check that the bolts for the header arent loose.

my test pipe likes to bounce off the bottom of my car, or it could be the heat shield right above it who knows its only in like 1st gear.

 

Dont mean to steal your thread, just to sympathize... I am having the same problem, it sounds like a metal plate is rattling or something only when i let off the gas. when i have the clutch in or i am giving it gas, it doesnt do it... is it the same for you? I will definately keep my eye on this thread cause thats the most annoying sound for my car to make!
