code 41and 23 wont go away

code 41and 23 wont go away
code 41(o2)and code23(knock sensor)keep popping after I hit vtec,but after they pop up vtec still works,then if I shut the car off they dont pop up until I hit vtec again!,anyone ever had this problem and how can I fix it?o yeah its a obd1 gsr motor in a obd2 hatch with the jumper harness(p72obd1 ecu)
