what codes do put ecu in limp mode. IM throwing like 3 and I my vtec hits, let me tell you it hits. The new M3 driver i found on the freeway will tell you it hit on him too! BUMP FOR VTEC.
Im throwing the dist. code, knock sensor and O2 sensor.

True limp mode is a very unpleasant thing: 3000rpm rev limit, unbelievable studdering, no power at all. Safe mode or whatever you want to call it is different, just giving more fuel and a little less timing. If your ecu was in limp mode, you would know, trust me. There's not much short of an internal failure that will cause it though. As far as the safe mode not letting vtec work, I'm not sure how much has to go wrong. Obviously a lot if 3 codes allow it to engage.
