Default HP limits of a Walbro 190 LPH

Hello,
I was just wondering what the HP limits are of a Walbro 190 with rail pressure at 42psi. I want to use the Walbro 190 cause i've read many posts about the Walbro 255 being noisy.

Now before you all start calling me a pu$$y let me just tell you that i'm not trying to build a 10sec car. My goal is 300whp no more than that. This is because almost every part i've bought is focused and is effecient around that goal. I am simply building myself a quick yet VERY STREETABLE car with a good margin of reliabilty.

Thanks for you input

what you need to find out is how much does the stock fuel pump flow? and how much power are people maxing it out at?

you can then decide how much the 190lph pump can support.

The 255 isn't that noisy... I can barely hear mine at all. I do have solid motor mounts though and everything is always rattling, but seriously it's fine. I don't even mind the rattling from the motor mounts anymore, well the glove box gets annoying sometimes, but other than that it's all good.

I have inserts currently so cabin noise is not bad at all. And i'll be going with a stock exhaust with a ecut. So my cabin is going to pretty quiet. This is why I would like to have a quiet fuel pump. But if it can't support my goals i'll go with the 255.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

The only problem is that people who use stock fuel pumps are generally using FMU which spikes fuel pressure. I'm trying to keep my fuel pressure around 40-55 psi.

Thanks for the input though

*****, your car will always be slow!
JK
And the 255 isn't noisy, as long as you have the back seats in. Besides, I'm sure the exhaust note will over ride the fuel pump.
What motor you using?

You see thats the thing i'm planning to run a stock exhaust with a DMH e-cutout. Cops here in the Bay Area use modified exhaust excuse to pop your hood. Plus when not smashing on it I want it to ride like stock. Since my exhaust will be very quiet i'll be able to hear the pump.
I know weaksause but hey everyone has their thing.

Thanks Ed

Walbro 255gph have been safely seen at over 600hp.
Im almost positive that the 190gph for 300hp is more than enough. Just make sure you set the FP right and have a good tune and you should be set..

But my advice is, You can never have too much fuel in a forced induction vehicle

190 at 42 PSI will easily hold 400 hp... Just get properly sized injectors. for 300 whp, i'd get 550's and the 190lph...

Yup, I agree.

I'm running the 190lph pump; it's still noisy though

190 here too with no worries and my goals are 300+ whp. It is still a bit noisier than stock but not that bad.

I have had both, the 255lph is half as noisy as the 190lph, the 190lph has a high pitched whine, the 255lph has a more deep and quiet hum to it. I was surprized, first i thought it was not working, but it works fine.
