hey AM guys...I searched and cant find a whole lot about true internal specs on a ctr motor....do they have similar lubrication as a gsr, i.e.: oil squirters, passages, etc,...and do they have a girdle?

sorry for the noob style questions, I'm just not too familiar with ctr blocks.....and need a good candidate to replace my LS/Vtec that took a dump on me
....
the car has a built gsr head with some decent cams in it
and the bottomend was a b18a1 with b16a pistons

I really want to find a gsr bottomend...but those seem to be made of gold lately...

hey,im doing a b16b with LS crank n rods. but i will get all the parts,including the block next 2 weeks time.b16b is the same GSR(p72) block,so i guess they are all the same except for the crank n rods..girdle im not sure..

yes i just blew my ctr up its does have a gurdle

everthing is a gsr in that motor expect gurdle ,rods,crank,pistons

is the block still rebuildable?

 

um about 4 holes al togeter out side i would sel lit for like 50 bucks hahhahi got the crank and 2 pistons and gurdle left
