94gsr or 93 gsr ?
get the 93. b17 motor. better looks(subject to opinion), lighter weight, last year made (vs. first year), harder to find.
a little bit less power though, but that can be taken care of. pretty much the same aftermarket in terms of drivetrain and suspension.

The difference in power is negligible in my opinion.
I would base my decision entirely on looks. The previous poster likes the 2nd generation ones. I like the 3rd one more. It's all opinion.
TEXNTEG.....you like the interior of the 2nd gen's more than the 3rd's? B000 dis man!

i do. it's nice and simple. the controls are right there in front of you. i like how the secondary switches are lined up underneath the gauges and the hvac controls are angled towards the driver. i don't like the reach on the radio.
but, the thing i like most about the interior of the second gen is the view out. you can see the most of the hood, the a-pillars are thin and just a better view of the road. i really don't like how the vents on the 3rd gen integra come out and then everything waterfalls back down...plus, slider controls suck. hehe
and 2nd gens(well 90-91) have a nice 3-spoke wheel with no big airbag in the middle(airbags are a nice safety feature though)
search for the DB2 ye shall find. they are out there. the b17 is a little bit stronger than the b16.
for more info, check out http://www.g2ic.com a great webforum for gen2 integras.

Yes they are and you have an extra tenth of a liter to work with.
Also, DA/DB2s weight MORE than DCs believe it or not. Not by much though maybe like less than 100 lbs. So the 3rd gen GSR is faster stock.

wrong on the weight issue. the 3rd gen weighs a bit more.

Hmm, oh well
on me. The weight difference is very small though and that difference is small enough were the drivers weight will make the difference between the two. Personally I love 3rd gens and own one, but I would prefer a db2 over a dc2. Just because they are more rare.

If I had to chose, I would probably get the 94 GSR because it would hold its value a bit better.
If re-sale was not a concern, that 93 GSR would be MINE. Its engine is super rare, its chassis is lighter and it has the shortest gears Honda made for any b-series. its really an enthusiast car in every sense.

I have a 92 gsr and i love it, i'd go with a g2. they're just about as fast, look better (in my opinion) and arent as common. there's 3rd generation tegs all over the place. go with a g2!
Who cares about which one is faster stock. You'll be putting in that bored out, boosted b20 vtec anyway..jk (but who knows).. I love my G2 GS-R but if i had a G3 GS-R i'd probably like it just as much, nice thing about the G2. It's a little bit more of a sleeper since alot of people had no idea they made G2 GS-R and it makes it less of a theft target in that way too.

Even though the 2nd gen gsr is down by 10hp, the gearing on the 2nd gen is a little stronger than the 3rd gen gsr. A lot of people overlook that fact.

i dont know the quarter time for a 93 exactly but with a good driver, probably around 15.2 or 15.3 give or take a tenth or so, i doubt it handles better than a crx cause they are tiny but they do handle nicely
The gen2 GSR time will be roughly the same as the gen3's time. That is not really the issue. Also, no the 2nd gen gsr will not handle as well as a crx, those things handle amazingly in stock form. The 3rd gen gsr will actually out-handle the 2nd gen version a little stock.
