how to repair rear sway bar tearout?
well my skunk2 bar came off my DC4 today cause i was gonna put on some new endlinks since the ones it came with were junk (one backed out of the LCA). i had the pleasant supprise of breaking a bolt off in one of the mounting holes. when i went to easy out the bolt the whole area where the nut plate basically crumbled away....
ill take some pics tomorrow but basically what am i gonna have to do to fix this thing

you can weld and re-tap.
even better you could make a steel plate and have it welded on top of the stock mounting holes; then re-tap. Kinda like the beaks kit, but weld on.

the endlinks are just a male and female heim joint... the ones on the right are the garbage that you get with a skunk2 kit. the center allen key all stripped out and the ball joints went bad. broke my hex socket in them. i basically had to cut them off the sway bar. that didnt stop one from coming out of the passenger lca on its own though.
since i cant weld i was thinking of making a plate that bolts to the lca bolt and a couple other ones covering the whole area, then tapping a couple holes in it for the sway bar... maybe drill through and put a nice ling 10mm bolt through the whole subframe to the right of where that nut ripped out. that would be pretty strong.
i dont want to have to re use any of the skunk2 crap besides the bar
