using d15 altenator on b16 ?
No and Yes. You cant just slap it on and go. first of all the b16 alternator has a different size belt, i believe it would be possible if you did change out the voltage regulator and a few other parts, not sure which though. I had one of those high output 150A alternators to power my sterio, when i did my b16 swap i asked the same question and was told you would have to change a few parts but it would be possible to still keep the same alternator. I never actually went through with that because i decided to sell the sterio and go turbo.
Anyone else done this?

um sorry it DOES work
its easy to put it on
the thing aligns up almost perfect.
all u have to do is run a few washers where the bottem bolt goes and your set
as for voltage, i would worry about it because if its not the same, its damn near close
and as for the belt, it all depends on the crank pully u have...

I did that to my swap for the alternator. If you're using the b-series crank pulley get the b-seires alternator belt. But you need to switch the pulley on the d-series pulley with a b-series pulley. If that makes sense.
