Default 3rd gear rattle

i started noticing a rattle when decelerating in third gear. the noise is rather faint and if i have my music up its not even noticible but i just want to know what it is and want to fix it. i checked to see if my shift linkage was tightened and it is. so could it be something in the tranny or the shifter assembly (not the linkage just the lever part).

stock b18c with GSR transmission

if you think it is something shifter related, firmly grip your shifter and apply pressure in various directions while decelerating and see if that narrows it down any.

He said he "pushed it towards the dash" not against it. Kinda hard to push the shifter against the dash.
