Default Those of you with BC3+ cams ?

I have been running on these for about 3months now. They make power all the way to my shift point, but was wondering about something that has botherd me since I got them.
I know the duration of the cam is high but should'nt my car have a distinctive sound when it goes into vtec, it is almost like nothing comes on, it is a smooth transition into vtec.
vtec engagement:5400

also I have a stock exhaust manifold, was wondering if vtec reacted the same sound wise when your cat goes out

thanks alot

smooth transition is a good thing...that usually means its been tuned well.

I know smooth is good, i am not complaining.
I was just wondering why the sound of vtec engagement is so quiet.

I have a friend that has b16 with cams, it has a smooth transition, but pretty loud noticable sound differance. No huge kick in the pants

my car seriously feels like it is going into boost.

2nd gear pool and it just starts pulling like a turbo spoolin then the tires break loose.

I want a header

thanks for the reply

With these cams....what valvetrain do you guys use.....can you get away with just portflow inner springs and stock outters and retainers?

From my understanding.....you want as smooth a transition as possible....hence the lack of noise upon changeover to VTEC.

get a j's racing intake/top fuel intake or a copy.

it should get "slightly" louder when it's in VTEC
