Ok im about to buy a car me and my brother built its a 96 acura integra ls. It use to be a auto but we converted to 5 speed only problem is its on its second tranny "which is bad already" in the last year. Do anyone think they can tell me why trannys keep going bad..?

 

hard to say with no details. low fluid level? what were the conditions of the previous trannys? does he drive it hard all the time?

 

well the the 1st tranny was off of a 98 totaled gsr the motor had 50k on it.... so we assumed the tranny was good... The next tranny was an ls tranny don't no to much about it due to the fact my brother got the tranny when i wasn't around... Im a drive out there hopefully with in the next to weeks to give the car an over look... Maybe a fellow honda-tech person can come along or something...
