Just wanted to learn more about the swap of this motor. I don't know alot about the ODB stuff and I'm not sure on the trannys either. I'd like to keep my stock tranny on the Y8. Thanks for all your help...

*EDIT* Swap is being done in a '93 del Sol Si, Y8 is from a 97 Civic EX...

 

Why u doing the swap..... its pretty pointless unless your motor is blown

 

Motor is high mileage, the Y8 is cheap, B-series not in my budget...

 

I would say you just go d15b vtec for 400 bux but if the motor your getting is alot cheaper just use the head and block and swap over your and EM all wiring ect and your injectors and dizzy
