Default making your own exhaust questions (what pieces)

i searched "exhaust" but i didn't find anything.... i know it's somewhere on here, but i just can't go through all of the posts because my criteria is too broad
what pieces do you need to make your own exhaust? i have a 99 gsr... where do you guys get your piping at? (best prices?)

the piping u go get at a muffler shop

from what I understand u need the pipe, resonator, and the muffler

lol, i'm sure he could have figured this out on his own.

i've heard of people ordering stainless piping out of catologs, but i'm not sure which ones. i can't offer you any advice on where to go to get exhaust piping other than a muffler shop, and i don't know about prices either. sorry. actually, i think jcwhitney has piping you can order.

DNX makes some mid pipes and back halfs for our cars. Might want to check those out.

http://www.kteller.com or PM kteller8, he sells custom 2.25" and 2.5" exhaust piping kits including hangers and flanges for various makes and models. For a 94-01 GSR I think his mild steel kit would be less than $200.

why u have to make you own exhaust? just go buy a after market one.. like Apexi, GReddy, etc...

Call up Atlantic Muffler in El Monte, if they are still around - that is the cheapest you will find anywhere. Back in 93-94, they used to have very creative uses for wire hangers and make crush bent piping for like $30.

I would still endorse kteller's custom piping, and his prices are close to what you should find at most reputable shops.

yea..i kinda wanted to go the mandrel bent way... thanks anyways.. i have to think hard about this...
