Default If you were too get a automatic Teg???

Hello,
I have a intresting question for you all.I have modded honda's for the past 3 years of my life.I have had a civic, crx, and now a teg.All of which have been Manual tranny's.My mom just recently purchased a 2000 voltage blue teg with 30k miles on it.Its the cleanest teg i have ever seen. One thing is its an automatic. She just told me when i graduate from college she is going too GIVE me the car(there will be a small fee im sure).Im just wondering has anyone had the ***** too bolt on a turbo kit and see what these things can do ?I mean im sure numbers are gonna be similar too ls teg...around 200 whp without getting tooo into it.But is that an over statement? Is it not even worth it ...even if it was free?Anyways just though i would ask..someone on here must have seen or hear or owned a fast auto teg once?Let me know
Thanks

well, perhaps the only advantage of an Automatic is that you won't lose boost while you're shifting...

potentially could have faster trap speed.

Pro drag cars (domestics, here) are mostly (to my knowledge) two speed automatics.

with boost, could actually be faster than you would think...

I wouldnt do it man. I would have an auto-manual conversion at the top of my list. As in I would not even drive it until I swapped the manual tranny into it. I have heard of turbo'd and sc'ed autos making good numbers but you really dont see them too often.

Don't even worry about it. If you don't know the difference between to and too you won't even be graduating college! I'm just busting your ***** man. I love that color on Integras. Like hotsuma said, I would do a 5 speed swap.

Get the parts together and do an auto to manual conversion first. If you have to, have a fellow H-T'er help you do the swap. If you shop around for the parts and do the labor yourself, you can save a lot of cash and save up the turbo even quicker.

a non-modded auto integra would make a nice daily driver.

there are plenty of tegs on boost (auto) you can easily upgrade your stock auto to a performance one...www.level10.com i believe or something like that...they make trannys for tegs [auto] that can withstand high boost and they arent as expensive as youd think [400 bucks if you do it yourself]

Ok I have a little info on the subject. I have a 95 hatch and soon to have a 95 jdm sir-g installed. I have already sent the tq converter to level 10. It cost $527 for them to mod it and ship it back. It's suppose to be delivered back to me tomorrow. The tranny rebuild kit it around $400 bucks. However that doesnt cover the valve body which is the real problem. U can't just replace the valve body in the acura/honda tranny. Level 10 quoted me a price of $3800 to custom rebuild the tranny and valvebody. they stated it would hold 400-450hp. I will be running intake, header and exhaust after the swap. Later I want to install the JR supercharger for some added pep and tq off the line. I know I will need to have the tranny rebuild completely. It will cost alot but I new this going into this venture. Just wanted to let you know.

What spins said sounds about right...Level 10 does great work (so I hear) but is very expensive.
