when the relay is bad is it possible for it to cause the fuel pump to stay on? constantly priming while the key is on but not started.

 

i do not think that that is possible. but someone can correct me if i am wrong. if the main relay is bad the fuel pump will not prime.

 

yeah I assumed the same, said pretty much the same in my manual also but i figured I'd ask. I tryed my girls relay in my car and the fuel pump still keeps priming for ever. This is gay i finally had an appointment to tune my car TOMORROW and now i'm screwed again. wonder if the ecu could be bad.
