thermal arc dragster 85????
hey guys im looking into purchasing a smaller tig unit and was wondering what your thoughts were on the thermal arc dragster 85. i know its a smaller unit and can only weld up to 3/16". i dont plan on welding anything extremely heavy, just welding flanges onto exhaust piping, making some bars and learning the art of tig welding. i found the unit at http://www.brwelder.com/indext...ry=65 as of right now my appartment only has 1 225 amp outlet and its being taken up by the laundry dryer. so the 115v is the only thing i can use for now (until i move). lemme know what you think and if it'd be capable of making the parts i mentioned above. i am going to be taking a class in january to learn to tig but i would like to get some experience under my belt without too much cost involved. thanks and sorry for the ignorance, i am very familiar with mig welding but am clueless to tigging.
