200whp easy?
is it pretty easy to get 200whp with a 81.5mm gsr block, jg pro series b16 head, and a few bolt ons?...i see alot of 84mm ls/vtecs and 84mm gsr's doing a little over 200whp, and i know there are 200whp stock bore 1.8's...but just wondering how easy it is(or how hard)...oh, but on 92 octane...dont really want too high of compression, or crazy cams...but something for the daily driver.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=908471 there are plenty of threads of this on the same page. Reading is your friend. 200 whp is not easy or cheap. Those words should not be used in the same sentence. Have fun.

Easy and cheap = B20VTEC.
A little harder with a 1.8L but still doesn't have to be expencive.
Intertune TV proved this a long time ago.

these 200whp+ do not come cheap. Only reason it may be a little cheaper for them, is becasue of there tuning abilities. But after all machine work, tuning, etc. its going to be more than 3k easy.
b20 bare block(if you can even find one) 300
itr crank 350
gsr rods (modified for afer market pistons)100?
b16head with valevtrain and work.2200
Right there is 3g and thats not even close to being done. just parts alone. A good cylinder head is key to making 200whp+ even though not totaly necessary. I figured a portflow head (1100) + cams and gears and valvetrain. all adds up faster than you would expect.

i'm sure it was built with realiablity and longevity in mind. B20vtec here on HT put down 220whp and has 40K miles on his motor i believe.

i dont think any NA honda build is really "cheap" if you go thru it right and get quality machine work done and dont cut corners on the build. i feel that it takes some considerable knowledge about what you are doing to hit 200whp NA with a honda, unless you have somebody else completely build it and tune it, which in most cases is going to cost you a shitload too.
