Broke off breather valve nipple, what should i do??
This sounds really stupid, but I broke off the breather nipple on the valve cover. I had some ghetto tubing on it for a catch can setup and I couldn't get the clip off the line and I started hammering and one thing led to another....now the nipple is broken off. Is this a job for JB weld? Or do you think I should get a new valve cover? It's just a vacuum fitting so it shouldn't be that big of a problem...just wanted your opinions
You could prolly "Jerry RIG" something-- try tapping some threads in the hole, then Fix something up that will work.
But I wouldnt just Jb Weld it to the broken edge. If you are gonna JB Weld it, I would drill the hole out, until what you have left of the Nipple will slide down in the freshly drilled hole. Then put some JB Weld around it.
.
Hope this helps
