DC Sports Sucks
I always waited to buy a header and finally broke down and bought a piece of crap Brand new DC SPORTS SS 4 2 1 2 Piece header
the weld where it attaches the block mounting bracket to the header broke. Has anyone sent back a header for defects?

Well...you waited so long...and you could've bought a knock off DC header off of ebay for $120-$170 shipped to you.
DC Sports headers are not the best for the money, but they do show gains. The knock-off headers on eBay are very good for the price.
There is one that you can buy for $90 plus shipping. Not bad AT ALL!!

If you meant the exhaust studs, then you don't need to torque them down.
Yup, DC Sport headers were never known as the best bud! Don't expect the best from them!

most of the ones on ebay are stainless, not many of the knock off brands are cerimic except dc sport.. dose it matter if its cerimic or not? i know a guy that has a 01 lude with the dc sport header and he said it made very low gains for the 270.00 price tag..
for the people that have this header on the h22 (5th gen) is the dc sports worth the money or do you regret buying it?

Jasma? Lol that is like saying "If you want a header go CARB!" Jasma is Japan's emissions organization. Just get a Prospeed/AN-R/Hytech/SMSP/DTR/Kteller header and get it tuned.

i say..either go mugen or smsp or stick with the stock one, thermowrap it, and use the stock heatshield.
i also heard that megan headers are pretty good for their price..i've only seen compliments made about them and their usually priced at $125 shipped.

smps wants 1200 shipped might as well find a mugen looked everywhere for a used mugen or smps but no luck had to buy the crap *** dc sports.. all they had to do is weld it on both sides so it didnt create a pivot point. I will take it back tomorrow morning luckily i only live 30 minutes from dc sports..
its just sucks to have to pull out the header again. also I unscrewed a head bolt I guess I can just screw it back in when I put it back on right?

smsp doesn't make mass headers. its basically custom headers. you have to talk to them and they'll ask you questions like what kind of gains are you setting for, and whats your setup is going to be in the future. and they'll make it for you.
