Default cooling fans wont turn off

sup errbody
im havin a problem with my cooling fans. wel i guess it is actually just one of them (the primary one, not the one that kicks on with the AC) when i turn the car off and remove the key from the ignition the fan will turn on, sometimes right away, sometimes within 10 mins or so. When i turn the key back into the run postion, the fan will turn off, and then usually it will stay off when i take the key out after doing this. not a big deal, but a pain in the *** nonetheless as it will drain my battery if im not around to watch and see if the cooling fan turns on or not.. what is wrong? is it the switch, maybe a relay? please resond with any ideas thanks again

most likely it is a bad fan switch but while your at it change the thermostat just for good measure .... does the car overheat ?

either A) fan switch or B)thermostat......the switch is the most expensive so i'd do the thermostat 1st.
