Probably the automatic transmission? I'm sure it's nice, but that price is 100% insane. It didn't even cost that much new. If there is such a thing as a collectible CRX (and I'm pretty sure there isn't), an automatic DX in non-original condition isn't it.



Also, would you spend $15k on a car where this is the only picture you could see?

 

Another thing I find unusual is why would the guy waste money on rims + tires if he barely drives it ???

I call BS. Someone run a VIN check or something and prove me wrong. I bought mine and it said 108k for a '91 SI. I was like DAMN. Come to find out a few days ago, with the help of some Carfax, that it had 111,000 miles... 3 years ago. That puts it safely over the 160k mark. I dont care, it still runs well.

 

They won't get 15k for it. That's assinine (sp?).

CRX's in mint condition won't be worth 15k for at least another 10-15 years.... and I doubt even then.

In their prime they were "neat" cars, they were never "exotic, high end" sports cars.

Collectable my ***, I've owned 4 in my life and my father has owned 2 and a few of them were in MINT condition with low mileage (one was an 88 si) and we never paid more than 3300$ for any of them.

15k....... I just want the call the person and laugh them.

I would consider paying that much for a 'showroom new' with documentation 90..91 CRX SI or even an HF. By showroom new I mean it looks like it just came off the showroom floor and had low miles and could be absolutely documented so.. by low miles I mean 10k or less. No mods, no wrecks, everything original and like new...

It's all a matter of how much money you can spend without worrying about it.. and what you want..

Some people will pay 150k$ for a twin turbo porsche when a Corvette Z06 for 50k has very similar performance .. thats 100,000$ difference, enough to buy a airplance or two more vettes..

Well, I guess that answers your guys' question about the CRX being a collectors item. Nobody is willing to pay for a mint one.

 

kinda, at this time they really aren't collectors items, but id still pay a little extra for a minty 1st gen si, preferably 85 in black or blue...

 

funny that hes asking for 15K, cuz Kelly blue book says that he sould only get $2,500 and you can always go alittle bit over blue book but not that much over

 

lol thats funny....anyway i mean it wouldnt be hard to tell if its only got 15k miles on it. If its OEM paint then u know he left it in the garage or covered which means, interior would be perfect no sun wear or anything..i mean i think it could be possible who knows.

 

If it really does have that many miles on the car, the most it should be is $5000. His price is $10,000 too much
