Default i know you guys are going to flame me but

I was wondering what you can do with a d15b7(8 valve 91 crx hf) bottom end.
Can you do a mini me or will the pistons hit the valve since they only have reliefs for 8 valves. Just wondering but i know i will be flamed ive searched and no one has said anything i can do so just asking?

valve reliefs must match combustion chamber. you cant do much in the way of swapping, but you could experiment with porting and headmilling, cam timing, different induction and exhaust manifolding, etc.

a grinder can do a lot more to stock parts than most people think.

learning is never a waste of time. dont waste your time reading a forum full of people telling you not to waste your time. if you intend to build a motor for the sake of learning, do it, even if its a weedwacker engine. given the choice between an hour on playstation and a day working on an 8 valve honda engine, id say go with the engine every time.

Actually, why not just swap an si ecu since you have the multi-port injection. The 8 valves would be the only thing holding you back.

First off, the D15B7 isn't a HF motor, it's a 92-95 Civic DX/LX motor with 16 valves. I would save some money, find as D16A6 or a ZC motor, do some researching on engine swaps, and do the swap yourself. It will be a good learning experience for you.

If it is a d15b7..thats not a bad motor. My brother ran a 16.0 in his dx hatchback with that motor..with intake, cat back, and si ecu. and borrowed drag radials. Still incredibly slow..but with well less 200 in it.
