Close to buying JRSC, last minute questions...
This is to anyone who has owned the the JR in their integra GSR. Anything you would suggest for me to do would be appreciated. Any additional parts needed, preffered mods, ecu, injectors, everything and anything...
I have a 98 GSR with only 30100 on the original engine. I am running the JRSC with the 6lb pully. I did think keeping the low pully i would have to avoid additional mods but i was wrong.
I had to add these to keep my engine safe and sound
Hondata s200 w/ boost (threw out the VAFC)
440 injectors
hi flow fuel pump
and about 5 hours on the dyno since after every season i need to also change my fuel maps.
and dont forget your intake-exaust-header setup for alot of air moving thru
I had to replace my engine mounts after about 4 months (added torque)
And upgrade your clutch to one that can handle the SC.
**I wish that I had installed that Hondata manifold gasket since the friction in the SC creats ALOT of heat.
I know I jumped around alot but I was thinking of what problems i ran into while i was writing.

Hondata S200+boost, RC 440 injectors, Hondata intake manifold gasket, and a competent tuner (you'll thank yourself for this later if you don't want to do this yourself) -- the bare minimums for low-fuss setup.
I've added a DC 4-2-1 header, RS-R B-pipe and ITR muffler, BSQ Icetake, Quaife LSD in an LS gearbox (lots of freeway driving) and saw 250Hp@10psi on my 97 GSR. It's now got 98K on the blower, 193K on the engine and apart from a blown headgasket from a stuck thermostat, its been pretty reliable...

The only thing thats needed is some new plugs and a good tune.
As for perferred. It really depends on how far you want to go. Don't buy an fmu. The JRSC comes with one, why spend money on one band-aid when you already have one. And if you wanted some other form of fuel management than that as you should. A hondata wouldn't be a bad option. For a mild tune 440cc injectors and a 255lph pump might be a little overkill. And you can't go wrong with a hondata IM gasket(seeing as hw you have to buy one anyways). Good exhaust flow is a given. But aside from that I could give you ideas of what you may consider putting on all day long. Head gasket, head studs, ignition, water injection, cam gears ETC ETC. And yeah if your clutch is stock don't plan it lasting too long if you are gonna be banging through the gears alot. And trust me when you get that SC on you'll be wanting to bang through the gears alot....

The JRSC kit by itself is pretty complete, although Id get a Walbro gss317 or 342 along with it. I wouldnt trust the FMU setup however, and would go Hondata. It makes a hell of a difference.
If you do go Hondata, you'll need 440/450's and to convert to OBD1 (since Im assuming you have a 97 GSR). Along with the charger, you may as well get a Hondata gasket. I would look into getting a Kami 2.5" 4-1 along with a high flow cat/testpipe (my stock cat clogged and stacked boost to 11+) and a 60mm+ exhaust and 3" short ram.
Get one step colder plugs (I ran bkr7e's), and do maintenance as necessary (JR recommends new fuel filter if over 15k). My stock clutch lasted forever with the JR kit, so Id upgrade that as the need arises. Going any further than basic boltons with the JRSC really is going too far if you ask me...if you want to go any further, the JRSC isnt for you.
The stock kit, hondata and piping is a pretty solid combo, although I bet you'll be begging for more. Id probably slap on at least the JR nose pulley before installing it all for more boost but thats just me

Thanks for the help guys, ironically i lost my kick *** job the same day i posted this thread. Guess my charger will be postponed a little longer... I wanna make sure i get it right the first time...
With 3gs. If you plan on buying a brand new SC. $2500 or so. It will probably cost the rest of your $$$ to have a mechanic put that thing in. It's kind of a pain. Next time I have to pull my SC off. I'll just be pulling the head off instead. Of course my head is coming off in couple days. I seem to have jumped timing and kissed some valves.
