Default type R cams

i put CTR cams on my b16a jdm 2cond gen.....my question is.. do i need more ignition advance on the high cam or less ignition advance to get the most out of the cams? my common sense tells me that a higher profile cam at high rpm raise the dynamic compression... so its like a turbo... witha higher dynamic compresion the burn rate is faster so if i retard the timing i will gain more high end power....
some comments????
