h22a4 (obd2) in 92 accord lx obd 1 ecu. engine bogs at low rpm., 2500 to 4500. By bog, I mean hesitation. Check engine light comes on, throws egr code even though I put a new egr valve in. Have not dyno'd, looks to be running rich, Idles like ****. Using a distibutor from an obd 1 h23 is that the problem? New plugs and wires, new cap and rotor, all the basics. Tried three mechanics and they don't want to touch it. Could this be timing, or is it fuel delivery, bought an adjustable fpr. but havn't put it on yet. Put a block plate on the egr, made no difference. I've lived with this for 6 months, I want to burn my car down, need help!

 

h23a1 and h22a1 diustirbutors are the same part.
and is the egr code the only one coming on? do you ahve the entire egr system hooked up right as far as the vacuum line ot the control solenoid then to the valve?
