Default JDM ITR in a EG

I have searched and searched for some material on this and I can not find anything. Does anybody have a JDM ITR in a EG on this board, I am thinking about building another EG. Nothing to extensive just a JAP ITR with CTR cams and a USDM ITR tranny, thin head gasket, some bolt on stuff cam gears the normal little stuff, cust. program ECU. Somebody through me some info here any ideas that might be better. Anyone have a similar setup with 1/4 mile times HP charts anything, PICS.....................THanks

ok can i ask why you are going to throw on the usdm tranny with a 4.4 final drive rather than the JDM tranny with a 4.78 final drive?

was that because you couldn't get the traction with the jdm tranny?

I have used both with slicks I just like the USDM one better but If when I buy the motor if I get a good deal with tranny I will give it a try. I was using these trannys on a GSR motor to so that could be different the way the gears run too.

What is your setup, cams, ecu, suspension, header. What tranny are you running on it LSD or not. Where are you located at. Anyone know of a EG CX or DX for sale for a decent price the only thing I care about is the body the body has to be in good condition......................thanks

Your smokin fool.... Ctr cams will out perform prolly 50% of after market cams. What cams do you use that make more power without spending another G on a upgraded valve train???????????????????????????????

Buddy Club Spec III+ do not require upgraded valvetrain over the stock ITR valvetrain. They aren't too expensive either. I have them in my JDM ITR EG setup and I love them. Do a search for omniman's dyno testing of the CTR cams head to head with the Buddy Clubs. The BCs outperform the CTRs throughout most of the powerband.
