if you dont mind me asking, why? did you obtain a C5 block with no head? juss curious. It is a bolt on, but i dont know of anyone whose done it, both heads are pr3 castings, just the "r" has a mild port, slightly better valvetrain and cams. I guess i'm curious to see if anyone has done this and actually improved on performance and what advantages this may have, b/c i dont see any.

Yes, it's been done. You will gain more torque and hp.

you have anything that backs up this information? because for your information a pr3 head is the same that comes on the itr motors. The only idfference is the fact that the cams and the slight sand paper port job, etc, and the bigger intake manifold and tb setup found on the ITR heads.

You gain "can" gain more witha gsr head with the same stuff as the itr head.

I don't see what the big deal is..the block are the same anyway. Just build it up with some better parts. The C5 block has a heavier crank and slightly better rods and higher compression pistons, but its not like night and day.
