4wd crx or 4wd any ef
does anyone know how hard it would be to pult 4wd wagon runing gear on a crx or just any ef i know the basics but im just wondering if anyone has tried it i have herd of it done to an integra with crv rining gear so i dont see why it wouldnt work with a wagon on my rex
all I've seen is the CRV done... but both would take work
it's gonna be cutting and welding. As for the tranny I believe they're similar. From the engine side it's the same. Start by getting a working CRX and a working 4wd wagon. And start chopping.

it can be done but you gotta remember how shitty that tranny was. It cant handle more than like 150whp on it. Search for user davens He knows alot about the wagons and stuff
im not sure how much hp im running rite now but i have a dohc zc i pult a ihi of a probe and im running arout 6-7 lbs and i have herd with that and dsm 450s i should be rinning like close to 200 whp so idk maby if i awd it i will pull the turbo off and throw some cams in it and some other **** and just na it idk well just have to see

Great concept, but from the discussions that have gone on it seems that your better getting a crx, or a wagon and not mixing. I had a friend that had a dohc ZC in a wagon and it was fun, but for the effort of fabing a awd system for the crx, you could do a lot to make it faster
If you really want to do it for something different though...go for it

First, it's you're, not your. Your means you possess something, you're is the abbreviation for you are.
I personally think this would be awesome, you could drive your CRX in the snow and take it on ski trips. And btw, light cars like the CRX are awesome in the snow. I'm also kind of sick of the fwd handling characteristics of the CRX, my S2000 would rotate beautifully in turns with a slight tip of the accelerator. The CRX and any FWD car has to be prodded into turning by letting off the gas which is not what I want to do, especially a long tight sweeper.
I'm wondering what are the clearance issues in the rear of a lowered car, and how much fabbing is this really. It doesn't look like that much. Some cutting and welding of the center console and e-brake and welding in the rear LCA frame supports.

or i can tell you its going to be cheaper to buy a ef awd wagon than doing it on a crx or civic hb
