so i'm pickin up a head off of ebay and the seller claims to have "r-1 racing stage 1 cam" installed....did a search and couldn't come up with anything on the r-1 brand. now, i'm new to honda's, so i dont know if the "r" is short for the company name, or if this kid is just feeding bidders a line of crap...

it's only a $152 head after all is said and done (complete rocker assy., v/c and solenoid from what i can tell), so even if it is a stock cam, i'm cool with it, but i'm just trying to figure out what this "r-1" racing camshaft he supposedly has is. i've asked for literature and receipts on the cam, but i haven't heard back yet, but i just emailed him like 5 mins ago and it's midnight, so...

the R1 cam is like the OBX one ( same as skunk2)but cheaper materials
i got a OBX cam off ebay for like $190 for a jdm d15 vtec it made a difference in the vtec switchover, but we will see how long it will last.

 

so r1 is the brand huh? who distributes them?
