Default clutch and flywheel question ?

i just had my flywheel resurfaced, they resurfaced both levels. but my new clutchmasters pressure plate doesnt sit flat onto the pressure plat. there is about 3/16'' between the pressure plate and the flywheel, when the clutch is in place..
should the pressure plate sit flat against the flywheel or does it matter ?

The pressure plate should be flat against the clutch disc and when your slave cylind actuates the T.O. bearing it will push the pressure plate fingers inward and pull the disc off off the flywheel. Is this what you are asking about.

Was the Pressure plate toqued down when you took this measurement or just sat up against the disc and flywheel? I have seen a couple of ACT pressure plates look almost "warped" slighlty but, when they were torqued looked normal and functioned properly.
