so true...16k for a 96 GSR?...lol...remember one thing..modifying a car does not increased it's value..in reality it decreases its value...
also its a buyer's market...it's really hard to sell things...when i went car shopping a few months back...people were telling me lies left and right..saying they have 3 or more buyers willing to pay above the asking price (which was a bunch of bullshit)..and that i should put a deposit right away...well after i got my 99 LS..their cars were still for sale.....
but once again

yeah its a good bit of cash but i mean if you wanted to by a turn key car then you got one. sounds like no mods are needed to be done to it. just take care of it and work on payin it off. gl and welcome to the integra world

i agree also. you could have just bought a stock gsr for like 5k and modded it yourself.

ya i know that it seems high but ive been looking around and ive seen a bunch of cars with not as much **** done to them goin for around the same price, plus this car is done right, and its still cheaper than me buying a stock teg and doing all this **** to it, trust me ive been looking around for a long time and this car is worth it with all the time and money put in it. and the most important thing is that this car is a blast to drive and that i dont have put as much effort into making it a a nice ride like i did with my last car (2000 impreza rs2.5), also what else could i do to make it have better traction? i was thinking lsd but i dont know which one and how expensive they are, any advice would be appreciated
That price does seem a bit steep, but not too bad (if it runs well). How much psi is the turbo running? Is the bottom end stock? I think you should use a Quaife LSD. I use Phantom Grip, and it doesn't seem all that good.
its running 7psi on stock block and hes got a bunch of other **** that i dont really remember all of it, hes got aem fuel rail cam gears pullies, upgraded fmic bov link management, vafc(not hooked up), turbo timer, spark plugs wires, and other ****, and you guys have to remember that this car is in excellent condition and that also adds to value, and i wouldn't have bought the car if it wasn't in great shape

you could of bought a stock gsr for much less than this, build/sleeve your block, get forged internals, do a custom turbo kit (bigger/better turbo, equal length manifold, ect..) and have all of this for less than 16k lol. john d put it nicely

That may be true, but you still have to go back to the fact that this car is used. You do not have complete knowledge of this car's previous history, and do not know the condition of the parts installed or how well they were installed. Maybe you'll get off lucky with it being reliable, maybe you won't. I know it's not my car, but I'm just putting in my opinion on your new purchse. But anyway, congrats on the purchase.

wth are you talking about?? "5-7k for the motor and turbo?" doesnt the motor already come with the car
either way you put it, you got ripped
but that is the price you pay for- lack of knowledge/fear of screwing up. you should of done all of this on your own, the way you wanted it. you will never learn **** about your car if you never do or work on your own car
anyone here on h-t can tell you that

o man im sorry to hear that 16k? you could have gotten a 2000 itr with that kind of money or get a 94 and hook it up with a 2000 conversion if you like the newer body style which i personally do. wow i cant believe that, i hope i can throw a turbo in my car and sell it to someone like you man. try to get your money back if you can

well i was obviously aware that it wasn't the cheapest price to pay for an integra, but i wanted this car so i bought it. i realize there will be a cheaper and better car out there for sale, but this one was like 10min away from my house which was also a plus. I bought the car because it already a good platform to start out with. Dont think that its because of "lack of knowledge/fear of screwing up" because i will be modding it more(change internals, raise boost, add traction, change the looks)
