Default SUSPENSION Decision

I have checked many posts and read extensively on suspension setups but I think I have narrowed it down to two choices. Any help would be great.

Why dont you go stick that thumb up your butt

Look into Omni power Full coil over or aim for a higher grade shock with the GC's.

Omni Power sucks. My friend has it, and I'm not impressed at all. They are just really bouncy, and the car doesn't even seem to handle that well. I wouldn't go with a low end Tein, they are just the hype, the new cool bandwagon thing. If you go with them, get a higher end model, like the RA or RE.
If you don't want full coils, I would go with GC/Koni, that is also a very good combo, and you can get the rates of your choice.
Also, what are the plans for your car?

Yeah, I think that TEIN is overhyped just a bit too. I heard that a very good combo is the Koni yellows and Ground Control coilovers. A lot of the autocrossers are using this setup. I think the person above me mentioned this also ^^^^^

if you want performance at the price of comfort with a street car still in mind go omni. 650$

If you want even more adjustabilty at the same cost, performance over comfort for different set ups for autocross go with the GC's and and a good adjustible shock. $650 and up depending what shock thogu with this setup i would go koni yellow and no less. witch brings it up to the $800 range.

if you want your car lower with improved performance get a lowering spring and decent shock. $400-600. With this setup you could get as good a ride as you want or as quality a performance setup as you want without adjustiblity. Witch if it suits you is a better choice just because theres less to it, simple is better if it fits the situation. why have adjustiblity if you wont use and font need it.

Sleave coil overs are not perferd if you not racing because yo uloos shock travel, withc = comfort. So if your not gonna be adjusting your ride hight don bother with.

With that said keep inmind if you go adjusting you ride hight you really need to get another alignment. so there in a sence is no point inless your racing kinda. Why loose shock travel and set your self up fro trouble.

Though with the onmis you loose no shock travel and have complete adjustiblity aside from shock adjustments. this is what i whould say aim for. Though there is a knew coil over out made by yonaka, and is the same price. If you wanted to be a pig for the test try them and let every one know how you feel about them.

Tein is overpriced for what it is. To get any thing thats worth a **** from them ou have to buy topend. Not that there stuff brakes or anything its just there low end stuff is worthless when compared.

You people should start raving about JIC, not theres a company whos lower end models are awsome even though there gonna seem lke the same deal as tein, there not. Even the same basis IE low end models have not shock adjusment and what not. But JIC magic just makes such a better product.

You tein guys need to go look and ride on some JICs.

I am quite happy with my GC/Illumina combo. if I could go back in time with more money, I'd have gone Koni yellow, but my time machine is in the shop...

Plus they have the worst customer service ever. Two thumbs down. Buddy club is a different story.

I really don't want to spend more than $700 for my suspension at this time. I usually drive about 25 miles to work every day and the crappy coilovers (Maxspeed) that came with the car are making me very annoyed. I have heard good things about Tokico products for the price and the Koni yellows always seem way more expensive. I want to be able to drive over bumps and drink my coffee at the same time and then take a 90 degree turn at 50 mph without tire chirp.

Good performance on a budget: KYB adustables w/ Ground control coilovers. Best bang for the buck!

aren't the skunks stiffer than GC? I was told the GCs are more daily-driver-friendly than skunk2.

I will never buy skunk 2s again without shocks, so bumpy. Has anyone heard of the Neuspeed/Koni, I see them advertised for much cheaper than regular Koni yellows and they say that there are 5 threads of height adjustability instead of just three.

Jics awsome. And i wouldint know about there service cause we have never had a problem with there product.

JIC is awsome, If they can have better customer service thats understandible, but guess what they have to at some point owner there **** or they wouldint make any money. Wit hthat said i would rather own a product that does what its suposed to with bad customer service, then a product thats not so great yet the people who sold it too you are willing to service you good.

Not just the product itself. Id rather have a good product that works well and doesn't have problems AND excellent customer service. Sorry that you think that offering a good product is valid grounds for offering shitty customer service, I don't really look at it that way.

LOL as i siad i dont know that they have shity service or not. I mean what if they just though you or who ever else they talking to was just an *** hole? Not saying you are but hey....

If they didint perform for you then there was something else wrong, IE yo unot geting them properly coner weight balanced. Like people calling skunk sleeves junk cause they bounce alot, that tends to happen with a stock shock.

Or when people bitch about the ABS in there car when driving in the snow, its not the ABS its the tires. JIC preforms, its just that simple. Look at witchs it more widley used in any race series where that type of setup it acceptible. JIC

And as i rememebr it there where ITR guys swapping out teins for the jics, not to mention the ITR guys here are a buncha bandwagon hopping conseded ******.
