Front brakes
ok i have the front steering knuckle removed from the car. I have the 4 back bolts off and the 4 front bolts off the hub. the rotor and the hub spin seperately. I need to know how to get the hub off the rotor.... Do i have to use a press or do i have some other option....? Help quick...
You can rethread the bolts back in, but not all the way and gently tap with a hammer, or just spray some wd-40 around and let it soak through then tap around the bearing race to get the bearing assembly free of the knuckle. The only time I used a press was to separate the bearing from the hub to replace the bearing.

everyone seems to be having a lot of trouble doing this, but when i did mine, the rotor came right off the bearing assembly. simply bumped it with a hammar.... *Shrug*
I had the same problem when I went to do this on my 95 EX. I had the four bolts on the back of the knuckle removed thinking the hub/rotor/bearing assembly would come out of the knuckle but it was so rusted it wouldn't even move with an arbor press. A hydrolic press was needed to remove the bearing from the knuckle. So I just took it to a shop and had them press everything apart and back again with new parts for $25 a side, that was simply for labor only since I already had all the parts.
