Accord Hesitation
My daily driver is a 92 Accord LX. It has been having problems with a slight miss from take off (its an automatic). Once the engine reaches 2500 - 3000rpm the miss stops. So, I have taken the intake manifold off, and had it hot tanked and cleaned. I have replaced the EGR, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires etc... When i unplug the vacum hose that connects to the EGR, the car runs perfectly (with the check engine light of course). So, i am guessing it is something relating to the EGR system. With the EGR brand new, and the intake cleaned out i am stummped. What else is involved in the EGR system?? My next try is going to be the oxygen sensor, or catalytic convertor. Anyone have any sugestions. Thanks
did u try injector cleaner? i hear thats a quick cure for hesitent engines. if you have and it didnt help, then ive also heard of clogs in the throttle body. not too sure about the amount of truth to that but ive heard of it and thought i would mention it.
