It looks like hard water stains or something. I also was wondering if parking it under a pine tree would have caused it? Any ideas as to how to get rid of it?

 

well pine trees do tend to drip sap. you try a little elbow grease?

Overspray? Have you had the car painted?

 

I recently bought the car and I know it's not sap nor is it overspray. I used some orange blast degreaser on it when I was cleaning the grease and it didn't even remove it.

 

dont know what it could be on there...maybe you can try to claybar it...dont know if it will work but its worth a shot, unless someone else here has another idea

 

you can try to get one of those tint removing blades...
just scrape it off.... whatever the hell it is.

 

My gf's mother was spray painting **** outside this past summer and she got some on my car. I didn't notice it until I washed it, but the glass is rough like you were saying. I looked at it in different light and could see the overspray just a little bit. I still haven't fixed it....you really don't notice it unless you look VERY hard. Maybe thats what happened to yours??

 

just take a razor blade and scrape it off.
