Default 3" shortram tubing vs. stock airbox tubing

Basically, I already have a homebuilt Comptech icebox fabbed up onto my DC Max Air inlet. I'm wondering if by going to the full 3" intake tube there is even 1 hp to be gained.

here is the setup (look at it before you tell me to 'just buy an AEM CAI' )

I figure if the Comptech piece uses a metal tube, maybe mine should.

u would think so..but not so...already ur intake manifold is getting all the air it needs...
