Default HELP!! I have a MINI ME question.

I have allready done a search under MINI ME and none of the topics answered my question so if anyone knows please respond.

O.K. I have a 1990 CRX Si with a recently installed D16Y7 from a 1997 CIVIC. It was rewired to recognize my OBD0 factory ECU. I am looking for more power and my buddy who installed it said that he would do a MINI ME conversion for $500.00 installed.

He said that I could use either of the following ECU's: PWO, P27, P72, P30. Is this correct? and with my current setup up which consists of a DC Stainless header, Greddy exhaust, High flow cat. and Cold Air Intake, plus the MINI ME, what kind of Horsepower increases can I expect since how the engine was rated at like 108 H.P. from the factory?

Just curious to see if it is worth $500.00 to do the swap. If I can gaing 25-30 h.p. I am game, but if we are talking 10 horsepower Im out. HELP!

First off, unless you want to use an OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness, you'll only be able to use OBD0 ecu's like a PR3, PW0, PR4, PM6, or PG7. P72, P30, P28 ecu's are all OBD1 or OBD2. $500 seems a bit high. How mechanically inclined are you? The Mini-Me swap isn't that hard to do. In fact there are numerous write-up's online that can guide you through the process. What head will you be swapping on? Z6 or Y8? Combined with your existing mods, I'd say that you would probably be putting down between 115~125 whp, depending on the tune of the motor.
