Default 05 Rsx vs Older Rsx Swapping Possibilities

I'm currently thinking of selling my GSR and getting a RSX. I can't afford the new 05RSX, but I am in love with all the exterior changes they have made.

I'm curious to see if anyone has any info on the swapping of the 05 front bumper, headlights, tailights etc to the 02-04 RSx's

I'm not to sure that the front end will be that easy to swap over but I could be wrong.
If all these parts are swappable, I'm definitely going to be calling wreckers to see what I can get.

Any info would be great.

Thanks for looking
Cheers

From what I have read in magazines, you will need the headlights, bumper, tailights, rear bumper. Not sure if the hoods are the same????

As far as wrecking yards you won't have any luck for a while. There are like 200 on the roads now. lol Doubt any are totaled out yet.

Not only that, it would cost quite a bit to have the body panels painted. Most of the 05 colors are new and weren't available on the 02+. There are a few colors that were available for both styles but not many.

no need to save up, just get an 04, the changes werent major and IMO they werent good changes. lol i drive an 03 tho, i also prefer the arctic blue pearl paint over the new 05 blue (forgot the color). but either way, both cars are nice but u cud definitely find an 02-04 for wayy cheaper, u will be happy any way..

There were substantial changes, particularly to the Type-S. The Type-S recieved a bump in horsepower. They now ride on 17's, much needed if you ask me. Most obviously the change in front fascia and rear.

As well as the upgraded rear suspension....
But I do agree with everyone when it comes to the 02-04 car...really the changes aren't that significant where it really makes a difference... between 02-04 / 05
I think I might just go for the 03-04
Thanks for all the info!

Don't forget that the 6 speed tranny got revamped with better syncro's and different gearing. Its smoother than the 1st models. I like the seats a bit better too.
