Default Sticky gas pedal

I duno if anyone has gotten this, but on my '00 honda civic lx im gettin a really annoyin slight stick to the gas pedal. I tryed lube'in it up first with wd-40 to clean it, then using a lithium grease on it to really lube it up. works for a couple of days and then goes back.

Is there a basic screw or somethin that could tighten it up maybe? Any ideas? all welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Mine did the same thing. Use rgular old grease to lube it up. Been working fine for the last 2 years now.

try checking the throttle body maybe that's is what's getting stuck just spray some wd40 by the cable and spring part and a little inside by the butterfly.

If it's like the 1997's that had a cable recall it's the rubber boot covering at the adjustment bolts just before the cable winds on the the throttle spool. The small end of the cone shape rubber boot has a metal retainer ring....often too tight. Spray a silicone lube into the boot and slide it back and forth on the cable to loosen things up.
