what is the differents between the head of a B16a version 1 (hydro trans) and the a B16a version 2 (cable trans)?

how do you get a extra 10hp from a version 1 B16a???

 

the newer JDM B16's have higher compression pistons, and more agressive ecu tuning.

 

Its the other way around, B16A 1st gen had cable and 160hp. B16A 2nd gen had hydro and 168-170hp. To answer your question the 2nd gen had a higher compresion pistons, 10.2(1st gen) and 10.4(2nd gen)

 

OK the sir 1 has 160 hp and it's cable AND the sir 2 has 170 hp and its hydro
the compression is higher but you will not get ten horse power from the .2 difference. the sir 2 has a bigger throttle bodie, a better intake manifold, has a better ecu,has a better compression ratio, and has diferent cams and all of that will make up for the 10 hp not jus cr!!!! ( these modifications that are different between thw 1and 2 are very small just like .002 on the cam an d like 2mm on the throttle bodie etc)

so there is alot of little things that make the gen 2 b16a 10hp more, i'm asking this question cause, my friend is going to build a B20z vtec and he has a 1st gen B16a, he wants to know how to make his 1st gen b16a the same as the 2 gen b16a
