after cutting open a couple of filters i found the pcx-004 to be of superior build\quality.

i'am not sure but when i went to the dealer the other day and bought a filter for my honda it looked a lot smaller than the older oil filters. When i asked the parts guy if its the right filter, he told me that they make them smaller now, i guess its to used to decrease the oil fluctuation when vtec engages.

It isn't to decrease oil fluctuation, it's because Honda was manufacturing 2 filters with the same size gasket, threaded opening, filtering media but with different casing sizes, so they cancelled the bigger one seeing as how the small filter will work on anything except an Insight and an S2000. At least that is what Honda told us when they discontinued shipping of the big filter.

i was using it on my integra, until my shock tower broke.
the s2k filter is made from a better filter element. i forget who makes it, but it's whomever used to make the filters before it was fram. the s2k are still made in japan, while the newer, smaller ones are made in canada, i believe.

Been running the S2k oil filter for the past 4 months, nothing but good things. I was skeptical but my car runs good. No problems, a very worthwhile piece considering it is only a dollar more. There is a considerable amount of difference in size in the S2K and GSR one.
Just installed the S2000 oil filter on my 91 integra. I cut open the small (honeywell) filter which I removed. This is what I saw.
Plastic bypass valve attached to a what looks like a pop can bottom with a spring.
everything eles was cardboard.
Over all constuction looked very very cheap.

Are you sure you bought an OEM Toyo Roki? Because ,Honeywell= Fram filters.
