Default B16b wiring Q's

How are you supposed to wire the injectors in a CRX ? Anyone have any wiring diagrams on what needs to be done?

Also, how are you supposed to connect the distributor? Wiring diagrams on these too? Heres the new one on the left side, and the old plugs on the right side:

One last thing, what is the vacuum line on the manifold connected to?

TIA if anyone has any info on this.

i bat he know what he has, just he might have gotten a little confused. There are many things that seem easy in theory that when are in fron of your face they no longer are. I'm guessing this is what happened to the person in question.

Oh yeah, I wish the swap is just as easy as the 3 pages in a mag make it seem.

It seems like everything that can go wrong will.

I imagine the wiring for the dizzy and the vaccum lines should be the same for the B18c5 so if you can find anything on that it would be the same.

BTW, let us know how you like the motor when you get it running......that's most likely going to be my next motor

i think the second picture you should plug it into the red line to the canister on the passenger side firewall?and what do you mean by wire the injectors? obd0 to obd1?

Put the line to that charcoal canister? Do you even need to have that thing?

So by the way everyone is laughing at me, I'm guessing the injectors are just like any other (very documented) dpfi->mpfi swap?

Only reason I ask is that at least 5 people local have all said you forget the resistor box and wire straight to the injectors, which hasn't made sense to me at all. My guess is that they're all wrong and I've wasted all my time when the wiring is that easy to find?

You dont have a OBD-0 Motor.

You Got a CTR Motor, Its OBD-1 or OBD-2 i cant really remember. So you kinda Cant expect to Wire it up like the OBD-0 motor.

Like youre friend said you dont use a resistor box.

Also you wont be able to use that distributor unless you convert your car to Obd-1.

Good luck

Looking over some stuff, I'm thinking A1, A2, A3, A4 go to their respective injectors? (4321) Where do I ground them?

Theres no way I can use this distributor at all? What else do I need then?

CTR is obd2

You can convert to obd 1 and use the obd 2 distributor. Only difference is in the plugs. Obd 1 uses 2 plugs and obd 2 uses 1 plug.

you can do whatever you want...

stay obd0

convert to obd1

or convert to obd2(a)/(b)

staying obd0...you can run a pr3, or a pw0 and just convert from dpfi to mpfi and add the wires for vtec and the knock sensor (if you run a stock rom, chipped ecu usualy eliminates this) also, a chipped ECU would be the best bet, stay away from the MUGEN progs for the PR3 and PW0, the ones to get are either the Feels PW0/PR3, or TODA PR3 only (best rom i have ran).

Run obd0 injectors (ANY obd0 ones will work) and YES they will supply the fuel needed, a obd0 b16 distro will work perfectly, OR you can hack up a SI or LS distro.

converting to OBD1...this is what i would do my self if i was in ur situation...

first off u need to convert to OBD1, and find ur self a chipped p28 (again stay away from MUGEN if u drive it alot, skunk2 and Eric's racing are similar, but a bit more fuel conservative)..

il finish tomarow, i just suddenly got tierd

first of all you need to search it has been covered.

also buy a conversion harness.

if you have a DX/STD I have a harness that covers everything mpfi and OBD2a you can run your stock b16b ecu with my harness. I used this ecu on my ctr motor with a obd2a ctr ecu.

let me know if your interested. everything is labled etc..
