Default T25 DSM Turbo!! Civic or Accord?

I landed a really good turbo on e-bay so I figured buying it willl get me more motivated to turboing a car. I can either turbo my 6th gen accord or my friends 91 civic ZC. I know all about turboing the ZC but I don't know much about the accord.

Will that T25 even be big enough for an accord?

What manifold to use?

Is there a DIY ecu program for OBDII such as turboedit? I know an OBD0 ecu can be easily modded to control larger injectors and read boost.

I'm guessing around 8lbs on stock internal.

Do DSM 450cc injectors work in the F23?

Thanx for any help I can get. Mainly I need to know if the T25 is a good turbo for the F23.

I'm thinking the t25 would be way too small for the accord and barely adequate for the ZC civic

I will let you know how my t25 turns out, my turbo setup is getting finished this week. for only running 8psi of boost and the accords small revband T25 should suffice. Plus you are in statesboro, do you live down there permanently? at GA southern? I live up in Kennesaw. plus i plan on upgrading the T25 to a 16g in the near future anyways.

A T25 turbo spools quick as hell. Its downfall is less of a power increas than you'd expect, but nothing too serious.

For OBDII, most people use the AFC hack with bigger injectors. Basically, you alter the amount of fuel with the controller to fool the computer in a way.

I've seen 17psi on stock internals for the F23. But with the hack, 12 is the most you can push. As long the setup is tuned, there shouldn't be any problems up to 12psi.

As for injectors, 440s are perfect IMO, but DSM 450s are good, too. Either can be used with the hack.

Do the AFC hack if you're on a budget, or just don't want to dish out money for AEM EMS,

I wouldnt recommend a T-25 on a 6th gen. 2.3 liters is way to big of an engine for such a small turbo. That turbo would work well with an engine under 2 liters. You'll max out the turbo's potential and have problems with it long before you see the engine's potential. I'd go with a t3/t4, or at the minimum, a T-28.

I did lots of research on turbos when I was in the market for one on my accord.
I'm now looking at a Jackson Racing supercharger on a civic, if that gives you a clue on how my turbo setup worked out. F's may be good for boost, but to see the good numbers that you want if youre looking for a 'fast' car, in an Accord you will find it not.

actually the stock honda MAP sensor can only read up to 10 psi - going over that w/ the hack is dangerous. And there isn't much tuning you can do w/ the hack except to dial in a good AFR @ WOT.

I just got an AEM EMS for my F23t and am working on getting it up and running reliably currently.

There is no turboedit/uberdata for OBD2 - you'll have to do an OBD1 conversion or look into a full standalone.

let me ask you this...would the accord be faster than an rsx type-s, prelude sh
boosting 8-10 lbs with a minimum of 230hp?

No what i'm saying is if you have a performance oriented car like an integra the same 3k youd spend would go much farther. I bow to those that can race their accords, with full setups. It's just more cost:power ratio. A lighter car making more NA power will most likely react better to the same FI modification. Thats why Civics can run 13s all day and we're amazed when we can do it...

There's always GReddy E-Manage for tuning.
