Well take it to a machine shop to get it ceramic coated! eh, most 4 cylinder only use one header *haha* You catch my drift? You could use a wire wheel to clean it off as well as cleaner. But its pretty hard to make it pretty. itll just look dirty again after the engine runs.

I have greddy headers, I heard you maybe could use like 1500 grit sandpaper and then polish it with some polish, there was a recent post about doing this but i can't find it, well thanks

You could just sand and paint it with some high temp paint.

sorry to bust your bubble bro... the only way you gonna have a shiny header is if you dont use it... remember that road grid and constant high temp on the headers wont do any good even if you try to keep it polished up....

You're better off getting a ceramic header..

Those stainless/chrome headers oxidate real fast....

If you'd done your homework, you'd know that different types of stainles steel, turn different colors.
Mine are really nice and blue where it gets the hottest, and golden more outward.
I polish it every once in a while to keep it shiny.

if you do that, make sure you get all of the polish off, other wise that polish will burn if you leave it on the header, i would imagine it would look worse than before.

Yep, thats why there is really no sense on doing it because its just gonna go back to the old color in a couple of days.
