Loud squeaking noise, sometimes turns to knocking is this messing up anything untill I get it fixed?
I have a 93 civic hatch w/ integra motor and jdm trans. and integra suspension. I'm getting a loud squeaking noise from the front passenger side, and it gets faster w/ the speed. When it's dry it sometimes turns into a knocking noise. It usually happens when I'm going slow at maybe 3k rpm's but I'm not sure about it. I can kinda avoid the sound of metal on metal if I want but it's been eating up gas. I'm thinking it's a driveshaft joint, cv joint or bushing. It sounds like an old cv joint but it happens when I'm going straight not just turning. Does anyone know what this sounds like and how much it will cost to fix, or if it's something I can do on my own and save some money? I hate this sound!!

your axle if it is pretty messed up will make noise even if you drive straight. the axle is easy to replace, you can do it yourself...assuming you know a thing or two about suspension.
