I put in a JDM Type R engine in my 96 integra, I have checked all of the wiring and can not find a short or anything. So this is exactly what it does

In any gear if you go over 6-7000 rpms, the tach goes nuts and jumps around. Only in third gear now, the vtec will kick out and throw a engine code 22.

First and 2nd gear never have problems with vtec. The oil is not low and I am using the proper oil. The speedo does not jump so that is not attributing to the problem. Also I have never had problems with the tps and I have checked it with a volt meter to make sure it was functioning properly.

The only thing is that since it is a JDM engine it does not have a pressure switch for the vtec, which I grounded out.

The only mods I have are: Intake, header, and a msd ignition with a external coil.

Any help would be appriciated, I am stumped
