OEM headgasket, remove the center layer if you want a little more compression.

I would use an OEM timing belt for a mild head build, and anything around Crower II's or bigger I would use a PE Enterprises timing belt.

as far the head im gona get port/polish -- and skunk 2 valves .5 over oem size,
with skunk 2 titanium retainers , skunk 2 springs , may add cams later.

not really looking for more compression , just more intake and exhaust flow.
and reliabilaty.

no point in building the valvetrain if you arent going to be using it. Stock cams stop making power right at 7400 maybe a bit earlier. Do the whole head at once. Maybe even think about getting some type S pistons or something as you are more than half way there.

Also, there are tons of company's for valvetrain products as far as springs, retainers, and valves go. Check around and find a valvetrain that would suit the cams you will use. Shop around, dont settle for the frist thing you come across.

i have the skunk cam GEARS for sale.

the type S pistons will give you higher compression which larger/more agressive cams just love.

Since you are going to have the head off already do as much as you can afford.
